About Northlake TK-8

Welcome to Northlake TK-8

Twin Rivers Unified School District is proud to announce the upcoming August 2024 opening of their state of the art TK - 8 school campus in Northern Natomas.  We are located at 3651 Oyster Point Way, situated in the Northlake Community Development off of Highway 99 and Elkhorn Boulevard.

The school is slated to open one class per grade level, depending on community response, for our inaugural 2024-2025 school year.  As housing progresses, additional classrooms will be opened each year thereafter.

We are proud to share that instruction will be rigorous and intertwine a focus on STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Art and Mathematics) lessons and activities in every grade level from transitional kindergarten to eighth grade.

Northlake TK-8 will be setting the district standard for flexible seating, student collaboration, in addition to student leadership and will showcase a heightened focus on academics, social emotional learning and character building.

Northlake staff and students will be modeling best, first time instruction in all academic core areas for not only TRUSD educators, but colleagues  across the Sacramento area.  A unique partnership has been created between Northlake and SWUN Mathematics to collaborate on best practices and establish methods and criteria to ultimately be used statewide.

Northlake TK-8 students feed into Rio Linda High School which offers not only Advanced Placement classes, but also Career Technical Education. Rio Linda also hosts the only California award winning dual enrollment program in the Sacramento region.  Students can simultaneously complete high school credits and college credits and can graduate high school with an Associate of Arts degree.  Information regarding Rio Linda’s available courses and information on dual enrollment with American River College is available on the Northlake TK-8 webpage.

Please reach out with any additional questions you may have.  We are here to help.

Warmest regards,
Stacey Firpo
