Our School - Meet the Admin Team

I'm thrilled to continue this journey with you as we kick off our second year as a school community.

With 29 years in education, my passion for teaching and learning remains stronger than ever. I spent 18 years in the classroom as an elementary educator and have spent over a decade in school leadership, proudly serving students and families in Fresno Unified, Clovis Unified, and now here in Twin Rivers Unified.

Throughout my career, I’ve been committed to creating meaningful, well-rounded elementary experiences that combine strong academics, social-emotional growth, and hands-on learning. During my five years at Garden Valley Elementary, we earned several recognitions including the 2022 California Pivotal Practice Award, Attention 2 Attendance’s Exemplary Attendance Award, multiple PBIS Implementation Awards, and the Twin Rivers Diamond Award for Academic Achievement.

Northlake TK-8 had a phenomenal inaugural year—excelling both academically and athletically. We’re proud to be the top-performing school in the area, with students achieving success in basketball, cheer, and the Math Bowl.

In addition to my work on campus, I’ve had the privilege of sharing my passion and expertise with a broader audience. I was honored to host an international webinar focused on social-emotional learning in elementary schools and, most recently, presented at the CABSE Conference in Napa, California (July 2025) on the importance of systematic math instruction.

The success of any school comes from a shared vision, strong relationships, and a commitment to excellence—and I’m honored to lead this incredible community. Together, we’ll continue building Northlake TK-8 into the premier educational experience in Natomas.

I am delighted to join the Northlake community full-time this year. My 20-year career in education began in 2002 and includes 15 years as a classroom teacher before my transition into school counseling. My philosophy centers on a whole-child approach, and I am committed to helping students thrive as individuals while fostering a lifelong love of learning through inquiry and project-based learning.

On a personal note, I am a proud parent of three children, ages 23, 18, and 16. In my free time, I enjoy traveling with my family and am an avid fan of both high school and professional basketball, including our local Sacramento Kings.

I am honored to serve alongside our principal and the entire Northlake community. I am committed to our shared vision of building strong relationships and fostering a culture of excellence. I look forward to working together to ensure every student receives a premier educational experience.
