Welcome to Northlake TK-8,  Home of the Jets.  I am so excited to begin this amazing journey together as we open Twin Rivers Unified School District’s newest educational complex. Construction is on schedule and we will be opening in August 2024 for transitional kindergarten through eighth grade.  
 
With a wonderful career spanning 28 years in the education sector, I have a wealth of experience, with eighteen years dedicated to fostering a nurturing learning environment as an elementary educator and a decade devoted to leadership roles as a school administrator. My dedication to educational excellence is underscored by my contributions to three prominent school districts: Fresno Unified, Clovis Unified, and, presently, Twin Rivers Unified.
 
As an educator, I am fueled by a profound passion to enhance the elementary school experience, advocating for a comprehensive approach that integrates academics, social-emotional learning, and hands-on experiences.  During my recent five-year tenure at Garden Valley Elementary, we were honored with  numerous accolades, including the prestigious 2022 California Pivotal Practice Award, The Achievement Initiative Attention 2 Attendance Exemplary Attendance Award, consistent yearly PBIS Implementation Awards, and the Twin Rivers Unified District Diamond Award for Academic Achievement.
 
My  commitment to fostering an enriching educational journey is demonstrated  in my strategic initiatives, which have not only garnered recognition but have also significantly contributed to the overall success and positive reputation of the institutions I have served. I am looking forward to working collaboratively to make Northlake TK-8 the premier school in the Natomas community.  We will be scheduling a meet and greet at the Northlake Club House in the spring.
